Joseph Pilates did not believe in ‘unnatural exercise’ where the body is forced into strained postures or pushed to exhaustion through pounding repetition. For this reason, Pilates exercises are performed with a focus on flow and relaxed control and with the aim of maximum efficiency of movement with minimum effort.
Pilates promotes flowing movement, alignment and strength.
Pilates improves posture, helps to repair injuries, restores lost function and prevents re-injury.
You may be inflexible, stiff, overly-mobile or tense, have lower back pain, general aches and pains or you may be looking to improve your posture, core strength and enhance your fitness levels.

There is an initial consultation to discuss your aims and objectives and any medical issues we need to be aware of in order to work with you safely. Your class will then be designed accordingly. Our aim is your progression and enjoyment, and you will soon see an improvement in posture and reduced stress levels!
We offer Pilates sessions to suit all levels and needs, including general fitness, athletes, fitness fanatics, ballerinas and dancers, over-sixties, prenatal, antenatal, and back pain. We also offer physical therapy and medical massage services, including deep tissue massage, kinesio taping, and foot reflexology.
